Who we are

Contendo is operated by Contendo. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Contendo to save knowledge, create posts and publish to connected social accounts. Contact us at contendoai@gmail.com about privacy or your data.

What we collect

Account information includes your sign-in identity, email address, profile, business details, tone preferences and subscription status. Supabase provides authentication and stores our application data.

Your content includes notes, links, uploaded material, writing samples, imported articles or video text, generated drafts, edits and feedback. We store extracted text, search embeddings, summaries and source relationships as your memory. Generation records can include the sources used, prompts, drafts, claim flags and usage counts.

For social connections, we store provider account references, platform names, display names, connection status, selected media and publishing jobs and results. For payments, we store Stripe customer and subscription references, plan status and billing periods. Payment details are entered in Stripe Checkout or its billing portal; Contendo does not store your full card number.

We also record product events such as page views, feature use and feedback, together with operational errors and model token usage. Sessions use cookies; the editor may use browser storage to keep your draft.

How we use it

We use this information to run your account, retrieve relevant memory, personalize and check drafts, retain your edits, enforce plan limits, process payments, deliver approved posts, troubleshoot problems and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information or use your private memory for advertising profiles.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations and pursue legitimate interests such as security and service reliability. Optional social connections are authorized by you and can be disconnected.

AI and other service providers

We currently use Anthropic’s Claude API to process relevant source text and profile context, generate and revise content, classify material and check claims. Relevant information is sent to Anthropic for those tasks. Automated checks can miss errors. Anthropic describes its commercial API data practices in its commercial data policy; by default it does not train its models on API inputs and outputs.

Supabase provides authentication, databases and storage services. Vercel hosts the web application and Railway hosts backend processing. When you import web pages or videos, services such as Supadata may process the URL and return source text. These providers process information needed for their part of the service.

Zernio provides the social connection and publishing integration. When you connect an account, Zernio and the platform handle authorization and the platform access tokens. Contendo stores references to that connection, not your social password. Approved text, selected media, account references and scheduling instructions are sent through Zernio to the platforms you select.

Stripe processes payments, fraud checks and subscription administration under its privacy policy. Providers may process information outside your country. Their policies and applicable contractual protections also govern that processing.

You control publication

Nothing is published or scheduled until you review and approve the final text. Unsupported claims must be corrected or individually accepted. Disconnecting a social account prevents new authorized publishing through that connection; it does not remove posts already published on the platform. You can also revoke access in the platform’s own settings.

Retention and deletion

You can delete sources in Library and saved posts in History. Removing a source or saved post does not automatically remove copies in other drafts, generation records, publishing history or previously published social posts. Canceling a subscription does not delete your account or memory.

To request access, correction, export or deletion of your account and associated data, email contendoai@gmail.com from your account address. We may verify ownership before acting. Full account deletion currently requires a request rather than a self-service button. We retain information needed to provide the service and may retain limited billing, security or legal records when required. Backup copies follow our service providers’ retention processes. We will explain any information we cannot delete and why.

Your rights and responsibilities

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise them. Only upload material you have permission to use, and avoid unnecessary sensitive information about clients or other people. Contendo is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
